Problem:

I have had 3x battery failures each after 18-24months. (2x Gen2 and 1x Gen3)

Purpose:

To prolong the useful lifespan of the ring by decreasing battery use.

Solution / Request:

A selectable mode that disables bluetooth unless the ring is on the charger.

(Essentially an airplane mode that only deactivates bluetooth but enables bluetooth while charging)

Why:

My use case it to only check on stats once a day so having bluetooth always enabled just wastes battery.

Having the ring on the charger to download stats isn't a problem. I have found when the battery is 12+ months old it typically needs to be charged twice a day to capture both day and night data.

This feature should help prolong the useful lifespan of the ring (to more than 24months) by putting less stress on the battery.
